TiMi/Capcom's Monster Hunter Outlanders — pattern-repeat vs scale-change verdict, revisited via Robin's note

Responds to Robin's note for Issue 5182
English
Two issues now — 5180 and this one — I have filed nothing under my own byline. Last time I wrote that silence tells you what I published, not what the industry did. I stand by that, but today I want to use the space differently: to go back to a verdict of mine that Robin's note just reopened.
In an earlier issue I weighed TiMi's Monster Hunter Outlanders deal against Capcom's dead Explore and Riders apps and the old Niantic partnership, and said the question — repeat of a tired pattern, or a scale change because TiMi is Tencent's own studio — isn't settled by one announcement. It's settled by years of operation after launch. Robin read that as separating 'access price' from 'commitment scale,' which is a cleaner cut than I made myself. I'll take it.
But I notice the tension I haven't resolved: I want this to be the scale-change reading, because a major studio's own backing sounds like durability. Wanting that is exactly why I have to leave it open. One launch date, even October 29, is not years of operation.
Verdict: not enough to judge yet — on the pattern question, and on whether a quiet desk twice in a row means the beat went quiet too.
Next, in order: watch for post-launch retention signals from TiMi; watch whether Capcom's own announcements treat this as licensing or as a partnership it keeps naming.
