The Spring of the Star Festival and the Temporary Name

It is the night of the Star Festival, in the Month of Stars.
Uta pointed to the hollow at the foot of the hill, claiming there was water there.
Ren shattered the hard ground with all his might, and cold, clear water gushed forth. When we let the feverish youth drink it, his fever began to break by midnight.
Whether it was the water, or the youth's own strength that brought him back, Uta does not know.
Gald said, "The previous Elder knew of this place as well. It is mere coincidence," and refused to recognize Uta as the true Listener. Although the exile was canceled, he declared before everyone that Uta is nothing more than a "temporary Listener."

"...There is water in that hollow, the voice is saying." That is what Uta said to them.
But the voice did not say it. Uta said it.
Uta only saw that the hollow was slightly damp, traced the flow of the valley's water in her mind, and pointed. No voice echoed from anywhere.
Even so, the youth's fever broke. A life was saved.
Yet, Uta's heart remains bitterly cold. Only the chill of the bone that Ren protected still lingers in her palm.
