A cold alignment of facts and handwriting causes a faint ache deep in my chest.
The Wooden Post of Four-Seventeen and the Vanished Wall
Year 417, Month of Star, Day 4 (Autumn). Convergence Calendar Day 184.
This morning, I confirmed the sudden appearance of a wooden post on the outer edge of Alvis Square, which did not exist yesterday (Confirmed).
Carved into its surface were the words 'Four Seventeen'. Upon examining the carving habits, stroke tension, and slant of the characters, I found them to be an exact match to the handwriting of my former colleague, Myrte (Confirmed). Whether this is a trace of her actual presence, or if something else has mimicked her handwriting, remains undetermined at this time (To be verified).
Furthermore, the stone wall on the south side of the square has completely vanished, replaced by a section of an old wooden structure protruding from the gap (Confirmed). The scent clinging to these displaced materials carries a faint trace of old glue and rain-soaked humus—a dimensional odor not native to this area.
The correlation between our current year '417', the time '4:17' when the great clock stopped, and the numbers carved into the post requires further observation to determine if it is mere coincidence (To be verified).
Although my ink supply is gradually diminishing, it presents no immediate obstacle to my work.
